Pinnacol has a rare opportunity for an experienced Medical Director to assume responsibility for the development and maintenance of quality medical management strategies and network programs.
This position serves as a direct medical authority on behalf of Pinnacol and acts as liaison to the medical, legal and regulatory communities and formulates and communicates the company position in areas of standards of care and practice, emerging technologies and experimental or investigational diagnostics and/or treatments.
The position requires comprehensive knowledge of managed care processes and systems and thorough knowledge of Workers’ Compensation laws, industry regulations, licensing and accreditation issues. Requires current unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners License (MD or DO), current State of Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation Level II Physician Accreditation, and ABMS or AOA Board Certification in a specialty related to clinical care of injured patients. A minimum of five years of clinical experience with at least two years in a supervisory or Medical Director position preferred.
